University College Ghent offers its students a complete range of social services, such as restaurants, coffee shops, cultural events and sports accommodation, all of which are run by SOVOREG, the social and cultural services of University College Ghent. Students may also call on Sovoreg for any queries regarding housing, jobs, medical assistance, insurance, … 

Restaurant and Cafeteria

If you don’t have the time or facilities to make lunch, you can always go to the school’s restaurant or cafeteria. The student restaurants at University College Ghent offer the students a fresh and varied meal at a reduced price. Snacks are also served at most cafeterias.

    Cultural Events

    Ghent is a dazzling cultural city but it isn’t always easy to find your way around. Thanks to Sovoreg, you are able to taste more of the cultural offer (theatre, film, dance, concerts, museums) at reduced price. The city has a culture cheque system and as a student of University College Ghent, you can buy such a cheque for only € 20 (10 different culture cheques) in the school's restaurants or cafeterias. If you’re interested, go to Sovoreg and they will offer you all the information you need. Here are a number of sites that show a whole range of cultural activities.

    Bored? Need some extra money? Why not get a student job?
    Sovoreg employs students in its cafeterias, restaurants or as part of the cleaning staff. Contact the student job centre for further information and advice. Don’t forget to bring your identity card, account number and social security card!
